The past year was a difficult one for the low income population of Loudoun County and the Clinic saw an increase in patient volume of 57% --the largest year-over-year increase in our history. This increased demand brought challenges to the Clinic, but because of the remarkable network of volunteers, business partners and financial donations, the operation of the Loudoun Free Clinic met this growing need for free healthcare in our community. Within the Annual Report you will find the names of hundreds of volunteers, donors, community businesses and individuals whose combined contributions made it possible.
Looking to the future and evaluating the many obstacles facing accessibility to quality healthcare by the low income residents of Loudoun in the coming year, we anticipate an increase of over 25% in patient visits for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Please know that in light of the projected growth, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide quality healthcare, at no cost, to our Loudoun neighbors who so desperately need it. We hope we can continue to count on you to help, because without your support and the support of the community, it is not possible for us exist.
