Loudoun Free Clinic Receives $35,000 Donation from E*TRADE!
The Loudoun Free Clinic of Leesburg, VA received a $35,000 donation in January 2010 from Arlington-based E*TRADE Savings Bank, representing E*TRADE's investment in and support for the Free Clinic's community outreach and support programs.
In continuous operation since 2002 as a project of the Catoctin Foundation, the Free Clinic serves the uninsured residents of Loudoun County, between the ages of 18 and 64, at no charge. Governed by an all-volunteer board of directors and supported by the volunteer services of area physicians, healthcare organizations, businesses and individuals, the Clinic's mission is to improve access to healthcare services for the uninsured, thereby improving the overall health status of this segment of Loudoun's population.
“We are grateful to E*TRADE Savings Bank for this generous donation and the bank's recognition of our efforts to provide an option for healthcare for those in our community who otherwise would not be able to afford care,” said Erin Smith, Chairman of the Free Clinic's Board of Directors.
Kelvin James, Director of Community Investment for E*TRADE, said the bank is committed to investing in community organizations that support low and moderate-income individuals. “E*TRADE is proud to support the Loudoun Free Clinic and its goal to improve access to quality healthcare for individuals in need,” he added.
