I am amazed by the level of commitment from the volunteers. All of these people work with a truly moving sense of compassion for the patients of the Free Clinic. I feel extremely lucky to have found this place to give freely of myself, but as in most volunteer efforts, I have received so much more in return.”
-Kim, a Loudoun Free Clinic Volunteer

The Loudoun Free Clinic is a true volunteer effort. Our clinics are staffed almost entirely by a dedicated team of volunteer physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, interpreters, and administrative personnel. Our volunteers are the heart of the Clinic, and make it possible for us to provide health care, at no charge, to low-income, uninsured Loudoun County residents.
Because of our volunteers, the Free Clinic is able to deliver $7.00 in health care for every $1 we spend.
Each year we see our patient volume increase, and so does the need for both clinical and non-clinical volunteers. Last year our wonderful volunteers donated over 5,000 hours to the Clinic, allowing us to open our doors to more people in need than ever before. In FY11 the number of patients cared for by the Clinic grew by 57% - the largest year-over-year increase in our history. We could not have done this without the compassion and dedication of such an amazing group of people.
To all of our volunteers, past and present, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
