Job Description
Are you an experienced Advanced Practice Provider excited by the idea of helping under-served people in the community while not dealing with the headaches of insurance companies? The Loudoun Free Clinic (LFC) is seeking a part time or full time Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our busy primary care office in Leesburg, VA treating patients age 19+.

Access to quality health care is essential to everyone, no matter their circumstances. Many of our neighbors cannot afford to pay for all the food, housing, medical care, and other critical needs they have, may not be able to take time off work to see a doctor, or face other barriers to attending to their health. LFC helps address these issues by providing free primary and specialty care services to our patients, empowering them to take greater control of their lives.

Hours of operation are currently Mon/Tues 8a-5p, Wed/Th 8a-8p and closed Fridays.
Here are some of the duties our APPs perform:
- Providing direct care to patients focusing on wellness and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Advocating/directing patients to available Clinic and community resources as needed based on SDOH.
- Educating patients regarding conditions, treatments and possible outcomes. Monitor/evaluate outcomes and modify treatments as indicated following Virginia standard of care and best practices.
- Prescribing medications as allowed by practice agreement.
- Referring patients to specialists/specialty care as needed.
- Collaborating with Clinic staff, volunteers, and state/county/community agencies.
- Maintaining accurate electronic Health Records using Athena software in a timely manner.
- Participating in quality improvement activities as directed by the Executive Director and/or Medical Director.
- Providing clinical education and clinical oversight of clinical support staff.
- Supporting policies and mission set forth by the Loudoun Free Clinic Board of Directors.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s level Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from accredited learning institution and active Virginia license.
- Physician Assistant, Certified with an active Virginia License.
- Prescriptive authority granted by Commonwealth of Virginia.
- 2+ years experience in a primary care setting.
- BLS Certification.
Position Preferences:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
